I don't have a picture, but it was from the local pet shop. It was pure white, the shape of a female guppy, and it had black spots all over it. They had it labelled as a penguin tetra... i know this is wrong. What was it?

My betta hides in an ornamental skull quite a lot, and it rarely comes out. when it does, it usually stays on the gravel or seems to run into things slowly and dart away. i caught it earlier on a plant doing what looked like a scratching motion against the leaf. only for around a second though...

He disappeared last night into an ornament and we didnt see him for a good few hours. he's just bolted out of it now, and its slowly swimming around and when it bumps into something eg the glass or a plant, it'll swim really fast away from it, then start slowly swimming again. He was doing it...

its a tall rectangular 24" by 12" by 18"

Currently my 20g tank has no light. that doesnt bother me in the slightest but family members decided "ooooh it'd look better with a light, lets price one up :D". my question is, would it annoy/stress my fish if i were to get one? my logic is: without a light, the tank naturally gets lighter...

I think i'll probably get Albinos, they're lovely little fish, but I remember seeing rumours that they're really fragile in comparison to to their non-albino counterparts, in terms of eye sight / hardiness / sterility etc. is there any truth to these? i believe the eye sight part at least.

I recently liberated an albino cory that was all on its own from the LFS, and i want to know what friends it would like :D i'm thinking the most obvious choice would be albino's or bronze corys. any ideas?

I really need to stop panicking so much about my fish..! I'll attempt to feed him on monday/tuesday(with the new betta stuff). if not i'll try other feed :D thank you all

We got him yesterday, and he's eaten nothing since we got him :( i'm quite worried. our LFS doesn't have any betta pellets in stock. they will do by tuesday though. what should i do?

update: parents arent as sadistic as once thought. if (more like when) he grows over 6inches, he's going to be rehomed :)

So my mother thought it'd be a great idea to buy a common pleco for my 15 gallon tank under the influence of "its cute" and its 2.5 inches atm. i've tried all night to convince her it'll grow too big and her excuse is always "we had plecs in a tank that big before and they only ever grew...

update: the fish seem to be chasing each other around fine now! this is only what... 8 hours after they were released into the tank :)

oh good :D just needed some reassurance on it, my other fish when first introduced were out exploring in seconds, then again if i was a betta i don't think i'd let anything scare me in the tank either...
