Its possible she did eat the fry, my endlers used to do it for some odd reason. Have the fry got any hiding spots? I used Java moss for my Endler tank a year ago, fry were able to hide/feed from it.

I don't want to sound rude, but am I really reading this? You really want to risk putting several betta's into a tank and expect them to live happily? I personally would just have one male Betta in a 5 gallon tank... Anything more, in my opinion. Is just plain cruel... Get a filter simular...
