Not had any experience with either, but again if you were looking for a bigger dog, a Golden Retriever would be ideal. We have a Golden and she is amazing with our kids. My hubby's cousin comes round with her two little one's, one's a toddler the other a baby and she is so gentle and careful...

Congrats. I used to have a Patagonian Conure when we still lived in South Africa. I was a definite male and used to try his sexy dance out on me, regurgitating his food for me :sick: . Very clever birds, a bit noisy and very entertaining. Mine used to spend ages sitting on my shoulder...
