If you want convicts in a small tank I would only have a pair and no other fish, they are very territorial especially when breeding and would only get aggressive with the other fish if in the same tank hope this helps

Generally the males fin on its back is elongated and pointy whereas the females is rounded I cant veiw the pics but I have had convicts and blue acaras before and breed them really cool to watch :)
