It sounds like he is just stressed from the trip. Hallow floors carry sounds further and can really irritate the fish. If in a few days he's still shy I'd try moving him. If you don't have many plants in maybe try adding a plant he can hid in/under.

Thanks guys! Yeah it's still working. No algae on the anubias yet! Simple. It sucks that I can't have any high lights near but the anubias takes up a good amount of space anyway.

A helpful hint I have is to break down the tank in three chunks: Low, mid and top. Look at which fish tend to stay in which part of the tank. Like the guppies and platy are mid-top, so maybe pick on or the other. It's easy to overstock but if you break it down and choose which fish for which...
