    Bolivian Ram?

hmmm, well tell her its just for a week, and how much electricity does one filter really use? haha your choice though. you can check your garden for earthworms and chop em up :)

    German Blue Ram Eggs Disappeared

hey guess what! that stuff he's sucking and depositing beneath him are the fry :) That's classic GBR parenting behavior. Try and get some fry food in there before the little guys starve. Good news is if this batch doesn't make it, the pair is almost sure to spawn again

    How Do I Lower Ph?

well like I said, the jag will probably get used to the high ph, its safer than messing with it and forcing him to constantly adapt. You can try adding peat moss to your filter, adding driftwood and almond leaves to your tank, these are good buffers and will help keep the PH lower

    Bolivian Ram?

Im pretty sure its a ramirezi cichlid, either the blue or gold variety. Young cichlids are picky eaters sometimes, you can try isolating them and letting them build up their strength on some live worms for awhile it never fails to vitalize new fish for me

    Restocking The 90Gal

Cool :) those rainbows are beaufiful! have you decided on your cichlid stocking yet? heres a pic of my tank, there are some really dense hiding places where a fish can easily get out of sight. Its a 50 gallon planted

    Aggressive Gourami

My dwarf gourami is quite aggressive too. He will bully my rams and other fish, although I notice he never really damage them or push them to the point of stress, he just keeps them away from his floating plant nest. Maybe if you create a definite territory for him by tying a lot of floating...

Going Away For 32 Days Over Summer, What Should I Do About Feeds?

If its a small tank with just RCS, leaving it in a sunny room will produce enough algae for them to live on while you're gone. Just have your mom do a water change once and a 2 feedings they'll be ok. The population might decrease a little but it'll recover in no time when you return!

    Angelfish Tank Ideas?

what kind of sand is it? If its coral based sand you cant use it as it will affect the PH. Otherwise a good rinse will be all you need for the tank and other equipment. A 29 gallon planted tank will be a great set-up for a pair of angels. Like I said earlier you can start with 6 little ones...

    Angelfish Tank Ideas?

In a 29 gallon tank you can keep a pair of angels. I'd suggest getting six and keeping the ones that pair up. I would go for a 55-75 gallon though and try and keep all 6!

Help My Fish Has Ich What Do I Do?!

Hi might I mention too that if you have less than 6 of the neons, rummies or corys, that you should increase their number to at least six as they are schooling fish and they will be stressed in small numbers

    Finally Back Into Freshwater!

Can you get some fresh water stem plants? Hornwort, hygrophilia, cabomba, these work great to mop up excess ammonia and help to cycle a tank

Going Away For 32 Days Over Summer, What Should I Do About Feeds?

Can you detail how big the tank is, and what the stocking is? This can help us give you a much more specific answer. You mentioned RCS? If they're the only things in the tank things will be less complicated as they don't eat much

    Jaguar Fry

is this your first batch of fry? I've never had jags but have bred some other cichlids. I suggest leaving them in for several reasons: 1. Cichlids learn parenting from caring for fry, if you leave this batch in next spawn will likely be bigger and healthier as the parents provide better care. If...

Tank Size For Tiger Barb Shoal Tank?

I keep my barbs in with corys, cichlids and a gourami, they are pretty occupied amongst themselves most of the time, I have a group of 13 in my 50 gallon. With tiger barbs the most important thing is to keep them in groups of 8 or more, and give them adequate space. I have NEVER seen them bully...
