I never thought of that… yes it will be an internal pump. So if I bought a new pump and added it to my current 160 litre tank for a few weeks would this be enough to then just use on my new tank without having to do the water cycle? @Essjay was an enormous help last time...
Hello all. I have a thriving 160 litre community tank which Iv had for a couple of years. I’m looking to very shortly get a second tank, specifically for a betta and some shrimps. I have a few questions upfront before I go ahead.

When you say “fools gold” do you mean it’s a worthless investment, or “you can’t go wrong with it”
Slate was what I really wanted, so are you saying as long as there are no golden chunks on slate then it’s okay?
I have had the same filter now for about 2 years
There’s nothing wrong with it, and it’s a relatively big standard one. I was wondering if they should be changed at all? It has a sponge in it and then like these little balls contained in a plastic casing

Iv had my tank for about a year and a half. It’s a 160 litre tank.
Iv never had an algae problem before, maybe the tiniest bit here and there but recently it’s starting to grow.
I clean the tank roughly once every 12-14 days
One week a remove 75% of the water and then the next week I remove...
Hello,
