Zebra snails??

Just done a bit of reaserch...

Body wise, they look like apple snails...
Colour wise, they look like yellow and brown apple snails

Like this one...

BUT the strips were going the other way...

any ideas?

Also just read that apple snails pray on other snails
and that they have separate sexes and a male and a female are needed for reproduction.

I think i've solved it...

they have stop growing for a while for different reasons (transport to the shop, lack of food, other water quality) and when they start growing again, their shell may be a different shade and stripe pattern...

So... with a few changes in growth it'll form odd patterns...
