Just looking for any information on Zebra Loaches, as I've heard they help with pesty snails, just wanted to know if they're anything like Clown Loaches?

They're like Clowns in that they'll enjoy snacking on snails, yes. And they're a peaceful shoaling species too, so 5-6 would be considered a minimum.

At adult size they're much smaller than the Clown so that really should make them a much better choice for the average fish keeper.

Don't forget a sand substrate and plenty of hiding places.

What size tank do you have out of interest?

I've got a 58 litre tank (I understand that it would be way too small for clown loaches, so probably would be too small for zebra's)

Got the sand substrate and plenty of hiding places under bogwood etc.

Do they have scales or skin like the clowns?

Thanks

Yes, I think that would be too small for them, I'm afraid.

Zebras are 'scaleless' making them much more sensitive to medications and chemicals.

That's cool, thanks for the info on them, just wanted to do some research on them :)
