Hi,
I have been wanting a blue regal tang but because my tank isn't very old and its only 55g. So my question is could I get a yellow tang in there? and also how hard are they to keep. Right now I have a tomato clown 2 yellow tail damsels a velvet damsel and one other small fish the lfs said was good for cycling. If a yellow tang isn't a good idea then can you list some other larger colorful fish that aren't to expensive preferably under $30 but are colorful.

The only tang that "might" feel comfortable in a tank of this size is a yellow eye tang. Not the most colourful of tangs but they are beautiful fish all the same. Tangs need huge tanks as they are open water swimmers, smaller tanks only stress them out and brings out the dreaded whitespot.

I would set your sights on a dwarf angel, many of these are very brightly coloured and are far better suited to a smaller tank.
