37 gallon tank, and I have scrubbed so many times, it's ridiculous. Aside from an epoxy seal, any suggestions?

The "yellow tint" is tanin which is natural and as far as I know harmless, in fact many say it is beneficial. Whatever, it doesn't do to have your tank look like tea!!

All wood must be soaked for a couple of days to avoid dying the water when it is placed in the tank. I put mine in a bucket with *hot* water. Replace the water as it goes brown and you should see the brown becoming paler and paler. I find that the more often I change the water in the bucket, the quicker the dye comes out.

Hope this helps.

......or you can use Seachem Purigen.
I used it in my 45 that has about 30 lbs of malaysian wood in it....crystal clear in one day! :D
