Okay, really weird, part of my pom pom xenia (that I epoxied to the main coral 2 days ago) has managed to break off and I have no idea where it has gone. I have looked through the side of the tank behind the rock work but nothing.

What the hell can have happened to it.

its probably in some cranny some where, im sure it will come back out.

Xenia can shrink down quite small when its not happy(like when its fallen off and been swept around the tank) so it may be stuck in your rockwork somewhere you can't see it. It may well attach where its landed and start to grow. Don't worry too much, if you have more in the tank and its happy, you'll soon probably wish more would disappear .

I have found it, somehow it got lodged underneath the rhodactis. As you say it had shrunk down that much I could not see it. Must have given the clowns a bit of a shock as it must have passed very close to them.

I am not worried about it reproducing, I will swap it either on here or at the lfs. It is very attractive though, I really like it.
