i have a 4 inch ish nicaraguanese that i got last weekend from oddball express thats currently in with my ornatums and ebjd. its quite skittish and i think its worse than the ornatums and im not sure its helping them settle in as well as i would like. im thinking of putting him in the big tank with Keith and the rest but im worried it will unsettle him more  he is just about big enough to get away with i think but im worried he will be even more stressed out among the bigger fish. too big for the pike cichlid to get in its mouth but Keith could have him if he could catch him :crazy:i also fear that he would get picked on as he would be by far the smallest cichlid in the tank.....

what would you suggest?

Give it a try and keep a very close on it, any signs that someone wants it for lunch, you will have to move it again. Its a 'try it and see' situation.

Keith seems pretty laid back for an oscar, like my (well not mine) lovely Tigger, I put baby rotkeils in with Tiggs without bother. It is a try it and see :good:

ok thanks. ill give it a go :good:

fingers crossed it works as im getting more ornatums veyr soon so need the space for them :hyper:

should you find that keith is not a suitable tankmate for the nic id be happy to do you a favour and take him off your hands , that is 1 stonking oscar :hyper:

if the nic doesnt fit ill take him off you till you get sorted mate

I now aclimatise fish in my cool box then net them and pop them in the tank, the other fish then tend not to notice too much a new commer is there. :good:

im going to try the nic over the weekend.

its 100% a male from my research so lets hope its not a softy

the offers of taking the nic off me are very generous :grr:
