Hi there - it's been a month since I introduced my five sparkling gourami and cardinal tetras to my cycled 54l tank. I have had a constant ream of zero readings for the bad chemicals and so I feel the tank is more or less stable.
My question is this: could I get away with adding any more fish? I was thinking of increasing the number of cardinals by two?
If anybody has any alternative ideas that would be great - Peter suggested corydoras (pygmy) but I've found out that they need to be kept in groups of 8+ so they'd definitely overload the tank.
BTW - Nitrates have never gone higher than 0.5 so the bioload of what technically is a fully stocked tank is very low, hence interest in getting more fish....
