Now I have had my 55g tank set up for a while with....
2 dwarf goroumis (SP)
2 american flagfish
2 female guppies
2 Australian rainbow fish
5 Neon Tetras
1 Mollie
1 Platy
3 I don't knows (they look like platys but not really sure) lol
1 Pleco
Some Ghost Shrimp
Guppie Fry in a breeder net

Now I have heard different things about putting Angelfish into this tank. Some say no.. some say it should be fine.
I would really love to have an angel but not if they are going to kill each other!

I am about to set up another tank that I am going to do african chiclids in....should I wait to put an angel in there?

There are people that claim Angelfish are fine with tetras, but as a child I owned an Angelfish with Neon Tetras, and when the Angelfish got old enough (big enough), it started eating the Neons. So I would not recommend mixing them.

A number of the species you have would benefit from more of their own kind. That should be your priority.

In theory, a very young Angel should be fine because when growing up with smaller fish, they are less likely to see the smaller fish as food, but I would still strongly advise against it. I suggest (assuming tank layout/set-up allows for it) to do the following to the stocking:
* 3 (1m 2f) Dwarf Gouramis
* 2 (pair) American Flagfish
* 6 (50%m 50%f) Australian rainbow fish, all of the same species
* 10-12 Neon Tetras
* Platys
* Guppies
* 1 Pleco (check the species to make sure it doesn't grow too big)
* Ghost Shrimp

I am making this suggestion because in my experience, schooling fish do considerably better when in schools and Angels also are much happier when with a number of their own kind. I do think that this is actually the case for the vast majority of community fish.

Ok! Thanks you guys.
I will work on putting more of their own kinds in there.
Maybe one day I will do a tank with strictly angels.

I never knew fish keeping could be so addicting! lol
