 Oh no! I got a betta last week. He lives in a 1-gallon tank. So I got him a live plant and a silk plant today, and he really ,likes them. Anyway, here's my problem: I got him freeze-dried red grubs, but he wouldn't eat them. So I got him fish flakes. Still not eating them. So I got him Wardley Betta Food, they are floating pellets. He immediatly went to the top and ate one, but when he tryed to swallow it, it popped out of his mouth. He tryed this about 10 times, but it kept popping out. I'm really worried about my little baby, and I love him very much. Why can't he eat them? They are very small.

*Bubbles(my betta)is about an inch long(exc. tail).

Check with your lfs/supplier and find out what they were feeding it - might help?

Oh...and by the way Hi and Welcome Honey :)

:)

Never mind!

He he. I thought today, that the food fit in his mouth, but probably not down his throat. So I crunched the pellets in half with the tip of a pair of tweezers. Then I put them in the tank,, and he ate them! HOORAY! Now I have to press on them,so they sink, then Bubbles zooms over and eats them right b4 they hit the bottom of the tank!Aww!

Know what? When I first got my fiance our betta almost a year ago he wouldn't eat either. I think it was stress. It took him about 2 weeks before he would eat. Now we feed him the little betta food pebbles and some freezedried blood worms as a treat. He is so happy that when we call his name from across the room he actually comes to the glass and flips around. :p
