Ok....here goes...third time is a charm right?? angel pair have tubes extended.....and they are pecking at the slate....I got the methylene blue yesterday, and everything else is ready to hatch the eggs and hopfully raise some fry.

Don't get mad if some die because i have a fry of swordtails and it started out with 25 now down to 5. But they have been alive for a few weeks now.

Oh my....just got home fromthe rangers game...and boy did they spawn...........I can't believe how many eggs there are!!

They are standard black marble w/ orange heads....

they are my "practice angels" I got 6 of these adults for only $7.00 each a couple months ago..... want to actually raise the fry, and figure out what I am doing...then I will invest in some double dark veil tails...I have 1 now...but it isn't a veil tail.....and who knows what else...I have a golden pearlscale also...I really like it too... but my heart just drops when I see that veil tail .....and the super veiltail on an angel

I just measured the space where they spawned and basicly put a small grid up and counted a couple of squares multiplied it.....and it came out to about a 1000 eggs ....give or take a couple hundred....
it measures about 2 1/2 inch x 2 1/4 inches, and it is almost a solid mass of eggs......hardly any bare slate in between eggs...but it does thin out a bit at the top and bottom......and NO white ones yet!!

Very cool! My fingers are crossed too! Funny thing... the one guy at the pet store wanted me to buy a breeding pair of angels he had. He said they wouldn't stop - they produce so many offspring! I hope you have the same amount of luck! Keep us posted!
