I've got a 20 gallon tank and i think i've finally worked out how i'm going to stock it xD

-1 dwarf gourami
-5 peppered corys
-3 amano shrimp
-1 or 2 ADFs
-*12-15 small shouling fish* (suggestions appreciated)or maybe 6-10 male guppies?

Would this be ok?

I'm probably not going to put any fish in until half way through April when i'm back from holiday though so i've got lots of time to change my mind and decide how i'm going to set up the tank.

What would be the ideal tank setup for this stocking?

I'm planning on using 2 filters: Aqua flow 100 and Jup-01.

I also plan on having black or dark brown sand substrate or something similar and a large piece of driftwood.

I want to use live plants and plan on using floating water sprite and moss-balls but i'd quite like to maybe get planted ones so any tips/advise about how to go about that would be really appreciated. I.e substrate and additional nutrients i may need ect :)

And what would be the best order to stock them in? I'm thinking shrimp, half the shouling fish, corys, half the shouling fish, gourmi, ADFs ? (with 1-2 weeks gap between each addition)

NB: my water is quite hard (GH above 180ppm and KH above 240) and the pH is around 7.5 / 8 i think. My testing kit isn't very precise but i have a new one in the post that should be here monday/tuesday.

Thank you :)

I would get a pair of dwarf gourami (male/female) - they may get a little bored on their own. I have kept all my gourami in pairs and it seems to work. Also, not sure of the shrimp. My dwarf gourami polished off 12 cherry shrimp over night .

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if there are any females around where I am :( and I heard the males harassed the females? :/

Bah, may have to pass on the shrimp then, oh wells, I already have them in my 5g anyways, I'm not too bothered about having them in this tank too :)
