Will my fluval 3 provide enough oxgyen in my 20 gallon tank, i have an undergravel filter runing at the same time, and was thinking of taking it out, good idea or not?

yes it will. what you need to understand about getting oxygen in to the water is this:

air bubbles dont put oxygen in to the water. they float to the top and pop. but what they do do is aggitate the waters surface and its this that lets the oxygen in to the tanks water. so all you really need is to make sure that your outflow from the fluval is disturbing the top of the waters surface. if the surface is calm and still then your fish are probably not getting enough oxygen. you can tell this is happening as the fish will sit at the top of the tank panting for air. ive seen a lot of posts on this forum that put a lot of importance on 02 levels but i think people worry too much.

if you ever seen an oscar tank panting cos the powers down its really weird to run your hand in around the top of the tank and watch them getting air.
