Will I Still Need A C02 Kit Even If I Will Be Using This?

Hello, i am going to be using eco complete substrate for a planted tank. I have herd that this substrate is almost like heaven for plants. They say it will grow plants with no problems, but i can't find anywhere if c02 kit will still be required? I am not trying to grow a rain forest theme maybe a few swords here and anubis there with dwarf hairgrass lawn. Will i still need a c02 kit even while using this nutritional substrate in my 20 gallon? I really can't afford any c02 kit and refills at the moment.

Eco complete offers a nutritious substrate. Nothing to do with carbon or CO2.
Whether you need CO2 or not depends on how much light is over the tank.
Have a look in the PARC section and at the pinned thread "back to basics".

You could always do the DIY CO2 system. All you need is a bottle, air tubing, check valve, sugar, yeast, and water. This was the site used for mine, all i have to do is refill once every 3-4 weeks.
