Wierd Java Fern Growth?

I have a java fern which is about 4" tall, it has grown a 'stem' from the middle of the plant and its about 1" from the surface! (15" tall tank) it has like bobble bit at the end, like a rattle snakes tail lol, is this just gunna be a leaf with 12" stem ? lol are java ferns supposed to grow like that ?

its an offshoot stickle, you can either leave it as it is or you can cut it of the main plant and attach it to wood or rocks . oh the bobbley thing at the end will be new roots so if you are going to cut it of wait till the roots apear .

Well since i posted that this mornin, it has now grown 1cm abover the water line LOL! i'll just leave it and see what happens

lol! the other leaves dont look that good, but that wierd stem grew 16" in a week lol B)

lol 1 1/2" growth in 6 1/2 hours ...wish all the plants would grow like that!

now i bought one the other day limnophila sessiliflora, within what 3hrs
of planting it in my tank it had 2 new tips opening up, mind you in my tank it needs to lol

thanks rose, plants are growing well at the moment, but my new headstanders are keeping them pruned lol ahhhhh i was going to take the little bliters back to lfs but just have'nt got the heart to, lol

he he, its now about 2" abover the water, but it 'broke' itself lol it hit the glass supports and went sideways

im jealous my fern dont and wont grow! cant wait for me co2 to get here and kick in hehehehehe i feel the need for growth huge growth in the plant area........wah hahahahaha

my other java ferns doing well, new shoots , plus the other plant i bought thats got loads of new growth now yippeeee
