I don't know why black moor fish should'nt be in my tank. I have a platy that's orange with a mickey tail and the black moor..... Some one said the black moor should'nt be in there put I don't understand... He just help's clean the bottom of the tank... I have a ten gallon tank with a filter that hang's on the back of the tank and sucks up the water then poors back on the surface... I need more fish - the balck moor, I will take him out even though I don't understand.... What should I get and how many?????????

It's because black moors are coldwater goldfish. They prefer to live at temps around 65. They need cooler water because they require lots of O2, and there's more O2 in cool water. Also, these guys get very big and create a lot of waste, thus making it a hard fish to keep in small tanks.

As for adding more fish, don't do taht until you cycle your tank. I'm not sure if there's a pinned thread on it, but ask questions on cycling in the beginner's section.

Also, the newbie section is only to introduce yourself. Please post your questions in the beginner's section.
