why wont my fighters mate???

my water is fine....all the parameters are good and the temp is good

ive got live plants in and lots of hidin places....but he hasnt once chased her

im thinkin my male must be gay

Btw, all Bettas I've seen in pet shops r all males!! Haven't seen a female betta yet...

oh, i have saw a female betta in a aquarium yesterday when i brought my albino cory and te shop was "big als" it was the first time i saw them!

Maybe they wont becuase you didnt condition them with the right food...and they arent in the right setup in your tank to breed. A lot of fish wont breed if you dont have it set up right for breeding.

im thinking perhaps he just has a headache... no seriously alltho your fish might be gay i dont think thats whats happened here i think that they tend to mate at certain times of the year and also you should know that your fish might kill the female after mating with her better to keep her out of the tank untill he starts to make a bubble nest somewhere near the tank so he can see her ive got a page somewhere but i can remeber what ive done with it.

hiya guys

can he build a bubble nest if the surface of the water is moving?

my pump/filter pushes bubbles out n the water is circling.....he hasnt even given her a 2nd glance

this is the 3rd female ive had as the other 2 died of a fungal infection.....suprised u havent seen any Feline.....ive seen loadssssss

and how do i set my tank up for breeding
