why can't I post pictures here?

I'd like to post pictures of my tank, but I can't. Any particular reason?

because you are in the wrong section.
post a pic of your tank in members aquarium and fish pictures forum, then if you need to link it add the link here.

Alternativly host the picture off site and post the img tags here and all will see the picture.
I use www.photobucket.com as it is free, but there are other hosts out there.
