who is my fish?

Can anyone tell me who this fish is? Its 3 inches and keeps picking up stones. I am new to this, and have looked at hundreds of pictures of fish and still dont know what its is.

It would appear to be a new world cichlid known as an earth eater from the Geophagus family.

Geophagus sp 'Pindare' is very likely.

Nice fish!

I had a look at more images on the net after you said Eart Eater and it looks exactly like that one! Geophpagus Pindare or Jurupari! i kind see the difference... Its my favorit fish!

And thanks for the nice comment on my photo Alaska, Im actually a photographer but this is my first attempts at photographing fish... we've only had the tank for 2 months.

Hi its a digital camera - Nikon d100, without a flash. I havent tried any with flash yet.

I hope to have time soon to get some good shot , but it will have to wait till the tank is fully planted and i have more exiting fish! Just trying to decide what to get...
