I bought a new hap last week and have noticed this morning that he has a small (2mm) string like white substance hanging on to the corner of his mouth
Since I had him he hides constantly, does come out for food occasionally and seems healthy in general.
I'm not sure wether he has been injured as he was in a mouth lock fight with another cichlid so it could be a war wound, the fight happened yesterday between him and another fish 2/3 his size, he defended his part of the tank and the other fish has left him alone now.

Do I need to Medicate? If so I'm in the UK if you can suggest something as I know some meds are USA only.

I test my water regularly, last test was yesterday
Ammonia 0.1ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 30-40ppm
Ph 8.1

Dechlorinator is seachems prime
I recently added carbon to the filter
Last water change was 4 days ago at 40%
260L tank
10 cichlids (he is the biggest at about 3 inches)

Also, when I first added 2 demasoni (I think that's right) they looked like they were getting it on haha and now the male is off swimming actively and the female appears to have pushed sand at the back corner into a dip and stays away from other fish and doesn't venture from the left corner, is she pregnant?
