Hey guys,

For a while now, only ONE of my Neon Tetras have had 2 white spots on there nose, none of my other fish have it and I probably noticed it about a month or so ago but didn't think anything of it. I saw some posts on here about 'white spot' but I'm still not 100% sure. Does it sound like that neon would have 'white spot' or 'ich' or could it be something totally different?

Does it look like a grain of salt? I'd have expected ich to have spread more in a month but not necessarily.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Whitespot
The fish will have tiny white spots. Or look like the fish has been sprinkled in salt.

Are the fish flicking and rubbing them selves on objects in the tank.

Fish can also get columnaris spots. They generally tend to be bigger than whitespot.
A greyish white spot.
Greyish white spot with a red centre, or a red edging to spot.

Size: 350liters
Fish: Black Ghost Knife, Bristlenose, Albino Bristlenose, Peppermint Bristlenose, Bolivian Ram, YoYo Loach, Glass Cat and 4 Neon Tetras
Stats: 0 for everything and ph at 7.2

The fish aren't doing anything weird and there are no red spots in the centre of the whitespot, it is simply just 2 white spots, very weird... any suggestions?

Are the spots starting to ulcerate the skin away. or form a hole in the skin.
If the spots are not the size of a grain of salt I would take the bacterial route.

Isolation would be best to treat the fish.
