i have an aqua one 620 tank 135litres, i started theis a few onths ago and all has went well until now. I have 2 clown loaches that i noticed with white spot so purchased KING BRITISH WS3 i followed the instructions and all seemed well removed my carbon bags etc but now they seem to have more although the ones they had in the beginning seem to have gone, it now seems to have moved onto my others.
I have stocked
4 guppy
1 Adolfo's cory
1 bristle nosed catfish
1 siamese male fighter
1 siamese female fighter
2 clown loaches
4 green neons
4 cardinals
2 harlequins
4 hatchets
2 pearl gourami

i'm not sure if i am following the instructions correct but i have heard that salt could be a help.

Can someone help??????????

Did you split the dose as suggested with clowns & tetras in there? What is the temperature?
What are the water parameters as the tank is way overstocked ( & BTW only holds 130 litres - less decor)
Your fish would not appreciate salt.
The meds only hit the parasite when it is freeswimming so you need another round of treatment. Drop the water level an inch to increase aeration too.

i have dropped the water level already as i was told, yes sorry it is 130litres, i was told to put in 1ml per 90 ltrs which i have at 48hrs apart they are on the 2nd dose now and tomorrow is another, what is my next move can you help??

also about the overstock, i questioned the amount of fish and was told that what i have now is the right amount, what would you recommend for the tank.

thanks you

oh yea my temp is 25 should i be raising it?

Working on 120 litres, a single dose is 1.3 mls. For small and scaleless fish you split this in two giving doses of 0.65 mls about eight hours apart every other day. Increase the temperature to 80F to speed up the lifecycle.

Your tank is not big enough for clown loaches or pearl gouramis and you have 48" of fish without these four which is more than enough for a two foot tank - however deep.
The harlequins & cory would appreciate company but there isn't enough room for any more fish even without the biggies. I'd suggest returning the harlies & the female Betta as well & getting another C adolfoi or two once the whitepspot clears.
These tall tanks can be difficult as the large front relative to the surface area can make them look empty & thus easier to overstock.
I have the shallower 90 litre version - it currently houses one six inch cichlid which is about the maximum size of a male pearl gourami.

i did have 3 corys a couple of months ago but started spinning not both at the same time, had my water checked at shop but everything was fine although i had just done a water change. I will do like you say splitting the dosge into 8 hours and see how i get on, how long will the carbon need to be out, if you have similar tank can i also ask do you know why even though i take car of my filters etc clean out my pump that i still get a back up through the filter where as the water spills back into the space above the motor head, if you can understand what i am saying?

thanks again you are most helpfull.

I run a slightly non standard fiter scheme in mine . The spraybar runs onto a piece of muslin that I replace weekly (ish) and this sits on lumps of blue coarse sponge. The second chamber is filled with noodles & efisubstrat. I've had the backflow when I used wadding & a piece blocked the end baffle damming the flow.

Carbon stays out throughout treatment. Most of us only use carbon for a week or so to remove meds - it is not used routinely.
