White fungus? On aquasoil and plant?

Hey guys,

I'm into week 2 in cycling my tank with aqua soil.

I recently put new driftwood in and I've read that driftwood can cause that type of white fuzzy fungus (pic attached).

I've used the vacuum to get rid of some but I'm still a bit worried as I've spotted more around the tank.

Is this type of growth harmless or should I be getting rid of it?

It is best removed. It is usually harmless but very occasionally fungus is toxic.
