He was sleeping (I guess) on the top of the water. My first thought was that he was dead and so I poked him with the net and he didn't move at all. Then I poked him again and he barely moved. I poked him a third time and he just floated along the water and the fourth time I poked him he acted like nothing was wrong and swam away. Is he ok? Is he gonna die? What should I do???

Same thing happened here.

From what I read from my own thread, this is a natural behaviour.

My guess is they're either up there for air or in search of food.

Tapping doesn't really do much to wake them up, but I don't think anything is wrong with it.

If you're afraid it's not getting enough food, feed it frozen foods with a turkey baster. This way you'd be able to see how much the ADF eats and make sure it's getting food.

As long as your water parameters are fine and you know the frog has been eating well I wouldn't worry. Mine love to hang out at the top of the water.
