Hi i noticed that my dads leather coral had a white spot on it and one of the things that sticks up off of it is drooping. So i got up on a chair and looked down and this is what i saw,

It just looks like the corals arm is droping or hanging from the coral itself. Do you think it could be breaking off in an effort to reproduce ?
This is what it looks like from the side.

I just want to know what it is and if possible how to fix it. I do not know much about the tank as i only keep freshwater. But i thought i could try to help him figure it out. If you have any questions i can get him to answer them.

Looks like it might have been damaged so how. Yes it is reproducing. Damage often causes them to split off daughter colonies.

best thing to do is sit and wait, if it gets worse, then worry. If you notice any frags the coral made itslef, its just breeding
