Guaranteed, I should think. What on earth are you going to do with them all?!

ok thank you, and some will be going to a freind and the others I will be selling.

what size are they when they will start to pair off?

and how do you sex them?
thanks

Whereabouts are you located?

Are they all from the same spawn ? If so do you really want pairs to form, brother and sister pairs maybe not the best.

I agree with bonzo. If you are looking into breeding you want babies from different spawns. Also, if you make the decicion to breed jack dempseys, bear in mind they spawn upwards of 300-500 eggs, and are hard to sell as they get big.

I would think that getting rid of all but 5 would do and you should get a pair out of them. Changes are very slim that all 5 would end up being the same gender. Moving them on as they are smaller is definitely easier than when they are larger.

Jds are CA's and will breed with any female CA cichlid readily in my experience, you dont need to worry about pairs forming.

ok so now I only have 6 jd's all from different broods. my percentage still high?
