submerged in a tank....
So theres this "fuzz" collecting on the leaves of my swords...i do regular water changes...all lvls are cool....am i not changing enough water each time??

crazy eh?

If the fuzz looks like a soft beard or like a brush and is greyish in color, its algae. A few fish are known to eat it - Siamese algae eaters, barbs, mollies....of which the SAE is your best bet.

You also need to address the root cause of the problem - nitrates, phosphates due to too few water changes or excessive feeding. Increasing the lighting might also help as the plants will grow faster thus competing with the algae.

i am going to cut back on feeding a lil......increase the water changes and i am going to be given a molly by a friend whos mad at it cause it eats her plants.....

wish me luck..........................

oh...thanks fer the help!!

brush algae is kinda hard to remove from a tank I have some in mine but is not worried to much as you'll always have algae in the tank is just to have as little as possible.
