Whats Easier Too Clean>?

Was interested in which type of substrate YOU think is easiest to clean.

By far easiest for me has been small gravel. Sand looks nice, but a pain in the butt if you have any kind of medium to heavy waste producers Just poo all over the place all the time and it's really not nice to look at. Where as with natural look pea gravel, poo just seems to break down and sink in between the small pebbles - and a weekly gravel vac gets rid of it in two ticks

i think sand is after the initial cleaning. all the crap stays on top

I've had both and would say sand is definately easier to clean - as Dorkhedeos says the crap just stays on top and is easy to hoover or net out.

Gravel looks cleaner though, as your eye isn't drawn to the cack in the same way it is with sand - the poos still there its just better camouflaged!
