Magnetic vs Electronic :)

In general, magnetic ballasts consume more electricity, get REALLY HOT, and drive the bulbs a little harder (increasing light but decreasing life); electronic ballasts consume less electricity, stay relatively cool (you won't roast yourself if you touch one), and are a little gentler on driving the bulbs. Because I hate paying electric bills, I prefer electronic ballasts. Good electronics include Icecap, ARO, and Blueline IMO.
