Hello,
Haven't posted in a while but I recently grabbed these little cichlids that were just labeled "assorted African cichlids". I've done a little research on what I think they may be, but if anyone knows 100% what type they are, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

While I can’t say for 100%, it looks like a juvenile Saulosi cichlid to me. The fish in your picture look rather small/young to me. The Pseudotropheus Saulosi is an African cichlid, a dwarf mbuna from Lake Malawi.

I can see them being either for that. Put a picture through google lens and it came up suggesting the lemon cichlid. Hard to say because they're actually more orange than yellow. I was thinking red zebra.

I would guess that if the store couldn't name them, which increases their value, then they are hybrids. Assorted tanks usually are. You may be able to figure out what they mostly are in a few weeks as they grow, but odds are they're beautiful mutts.
