I have 6 red cherry shrimp in my 6 gallon tank which has a lot of algae and biofilm which the shrimp are eating all the time. I also have java moss in my tank but I am wondering if I need to be feeding them other things such as shrimp lollies or vegetables? Is the algae enough for them to thrive and breed?

The biofilm is great. I also feed crab cuisine by Hikari.

If you need a bigger supply of algae you can put some aquarium safe pebbles in a jar in a sunny windowsill and let it grow algae then put it in your tank for the shrimp to munch on :) you can rotate pebbles for a constant supply

Mulberry leaves, almond leaves are also great. Just make sure they dont have pesticides on them. I get mine from my pet store. My shrimp love them.
