What to do with my Rams?

And the pair of rams must be a bonded pair. Rams must choose their own mates. But with 3 males and 3 females in the tank there is a good chance that two will pair up, and that's the pair to keep. Since the three colours you have are all the same species it could be any of the males with any of the females; they won't pair up just because they are the same colour.
Keeping an unbonded male and female together is likely to end up with one of them dead.
 
In my experience they 99% of the time pair up and it all depends how well planted you are,keeping 2 pairs in a 140l is possible for me if it's well planted. As for water perimeters I've kept rams for 10 years in hard water some have lived for 4 years in hard tap water. Pretty sure if it's lived it's life in upto yet in hardwater then softwater would be abit of a shock for the fish
