What The Heck Is This?!?

I found this gross creepy crawly in my tank today. I have no idea where it came from, I have a tight hood so it didn't just fall in. It was swimming around my tank and I mushed it in half with a net. But what is it, where did it come from do I have more in there?

it looks like a damsel fly larvea if i was you take it out your tank and put it in a bucket outside or something as they can eat small fish

I don't worry I took it out as soon as I saw it. And mushed it. where do they come from and how did it get in my tank?

providing you haven't got any really small fish in your tank it will do no harm, in fact your fish may eat it! have you introduced any new plants lately? as it may have hitchhiked on them.
