What Should I Get

I am getting a 30 gal tank and was wandering what would be good agressive fish that can live in that small of a tank. i am not new to fish as i already have a 175 gallon tank with a 25 inch arowana in it

For the 30, tiger barbs, maybe. Not on the high end of aggression, but pretty mean just the same, and in a group will bicker among themselves. A pair of convict cichlids should work, too, and their name is well earned.

in a 30 gallon you could have Senegal Birchir (although it may outgrow the tank in the end)

some dwarf Snakeheads would go nicely in there too.

a Figure 8 puffer would be nice and aggressive but needs brackish water.

there is a thread in the oddballs section about smaller oddballs in a 20 gallon tank (the anti tankbusters), most of them are pretty aggressive

ok thanks for the help im going to look at some cichlids today.

here is a link to picks of my arowana sorry for the quality, and the boat in the background is about 28" so use that for a size comparision

Nice pics but i feel that tank is not big enough for your fish.

Nice pics but i feel that tank is not big enough for your fish.

well i was told as long as theres plenty of room for him to turn around then it was still big enough and the tank is about thiry inches from front to back
