I'm sorry to hear about your conditions.
I'll try my best to give you some advice(by the way, I didn't read through all the posts here).

By the way, do you have parents or older siblings who can advise you and support you financially?

Some advice for you:
1)Firstly, list down your strengths and jobs/careers that you are interested in.
Your GCEs results will tell you of your strengths.
Also, usually your strengths will be in the things that you have the most interest.

But at your age, you may not have discovered most of your strengths or interests.

2)Secondly, usually the quickest way to earn a living is through educations.
Can you take some diploma courses at some schools or polytechnics with your GCEs?
Or any kind of short courses?
You can always further your studies later on. Don't stop at diploma but continue with a degree or higher degree.

Courses that are always useful/in demand are like Accountings/Finance, Information Technology/Computer, Software/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Business/Sales, etc.
Search the internets for available courses that have market demands.

3)But if you can't continue with your education, then you must seriously try to learn some skills such as Chef/Cook, Car mechanics, Hair stylist, etc.
There will be some schools that teach these skills.

If not, try to find a job that allow you to learn the above skills by working under someone who can teach/train you the skills. By the way, this route may take a longer time.

Also, make sure that the skills can provide you with a decent salary after you have gained much experience.

4)When you mentioned that you are meek, do you mean to say that you are lack of confidence?
Your confidence can always be built up when you started to work with people and have more experience.
Also, don't bother about what people may think about you.

So, begin to plan your future and career.
The internets will have a lot of information to help you.
Never let anything hinder you from achieving your goals in life.

Talk to people and start making friends especially true friends who will help you through thick and thin.
Lastly, pray to God for His providence and blessings if you believe in God.

Romans 8:32 : He(God) who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

@PlasticGalaxy I'm not really sure if this is common in the UK, but if you live in or near a big city you could look for fish maintainence companies, or even start your own. If fish care is something you really love, you should learn more about it and turn it into a job. I do agree that if you need money and you need it now, this might not be the best job for you. But here in the US (I live in Phoenix AZ), there are a lot of jobs like this. Basically you would have a list of clients that either already have a tank, or would like a tank. Most of these people will be big business owners, doctors offices, restaurants, or rich people. If they already have a tank you'll just come by everyweek to clean it. If they want a tank (and you own your own business) then you get to help set it up! Again, I don't know if this is a good business for the UK. But I would think it's worth a shot. In the beginning, it would take some dedication to learn about bigger tanks and the mechanics behind how they work, but all you need for that is Youtube and Google. Free education! If you aren't a big social person though, I would not suggest starting your own company at first, because in the start up it will require a lot of people skills to get the word out.
The other option is you could always try to breed fish. I don't know about the demand in the UK, but here people are always looking to get their hands on fish, from locals especially. There probably won't be enough profit for a full time job, but it could turn into that! As a teen as well, these are some options that I'm considering for the future!

@Lajos_Detari
While it is nice you have your faith it is your faith and sharing such should be kept in the same realm as politics on a forum about keeping fish. Especially when considering the harm that "men of faith" have done through history.
Yes, I didn't really want to say anything but I really didn't want to be told to "pray to God" on a fish forum to be fair.

That sounds pretty great actually. I'll have a look into it and see if it's possible where I am. Thanks for the idea!

@PlasticGalaxy, your story is pretty much the same as my daughters. She was at uni. Not attending any lessons (sorry lectures) she then changed her course.

We recommended she came home, because her mental health was getting worse.

She quit uni and then when she was in a better place she started to apply for jobs.

She had no experience, so was fretting about not getting a chance to talk to any interviewer.

She was told to apply for a job on kickstarters and got an interview and then a job at Reed recruitment.

She only gets minimum wage and it is for 6 months, but after the 6months hopefully they will keep her on.

I'll definitely have a look into it, thank you.

If you do volunteer in the local children's charity, then you will get some experiences to put on your cv

I work for British Heart Foundation and have many volunteers working with us. They do everything from selling badges to processing sale, taking booking. Working in the warehouse, may not be suitable for you :)

The best thing that can happen is when a volunteer leaves because they have a paid job., because of the skill and confidence they have gain with us.

Also if you turned up at the door with a cv, we would just tell you Togo on the website, that's where all jobs are posted and dealt with. You may be better door knocking with smaller companies

Hope you are successful in your search, just keep a watch on your mental health and be honest in the interview.

Really nice to see people giving such nice advice here :)

For what its worth I dropped out of lower 6th form too, changed to a college in the city rather than the local sixth form. Went for a BTEC so just studying something I liked full time, had 2 of the best years of my life, made loads of friends and got my into my career that im in over 10 years later.

Now would be the perfect time to be applying for a college with a view to starting in September, it would give you chance to have a great summer into the build of it and give you time to look forward to it. If you've had a bad experience in 6th form a city college is a totally different experience, you are treated more like an adult, you meet lots of different people and choosing to do one thing you are really excited about can make a realy good experience.

I think its easier to grow in education than work as opportunities are a bit few and far between and you dont always get the support you are meant to but in college people are usually there because they want to be including the tutors which makes it a bit different. If you're not sure what you want to do it gives you time to figure that out a bit more too.

You did art, did yoy get an A in this? I struggle to draw stick men/women/lgtbq+

If you enjoy art and fish, ppl with tanks do like drawings/paintings of their favourite fish. You could get commissions to do this. (first one is free for the great guy that thought if this for you in this post ???)

Also you do have some confidence in you, you partake on a forum giving advice and help ppl, even though they could tell you where to go with that info (granted it is a nice forum)
You also asked for help from these strangers on here

Again look after yourself first and you'll always have ppl to chat to on here

I'm not very good at art, it's just that I kept to my very specific mediums and did that for three years. Got a 6, which is the equivalent to a B. Might try commissions one day, not sure.
I'm better at photo editing than traditional art. Though, my edits tend to look like this. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

If you're open to the idea of going to college you should check out a BTEC in multi-media, when I was at art school this course gave you a year of trying all the areas on offer, graphic design, media, fine art, fashion etc and then specialise in the second year which is what your qualification would be. Giving a bit more of me away than I usually do now but I'm a designer now and its a great career, going to art school really changed my life and is a great place to be if you're not sure what you want to do and have a creative side.

Sorry to bump this thread so much later on into the month, but I've got an interview for a coffee shop tomorrow! Wish me luck!
