hey, not sure if I'm posting in the right part. But does anyone have any idea what this stuff is on my plants? The plants are not real ones. Its a new tank, new water, new plants. Its not on all of them, just a couple.

Yes, its appeared on the plants. My pictures view really clear, taken on a Samsung s10 so camera quality is decent. I can see it in the pictures? In the first picture, its on the green plant to the right. In the second pic, its at the bottom of the first lot of stalks and in the final pic, its on the middle of the plant, in the centre where the stems come out.

Ohhh... now I see it.

Its not algae, its most likely biofilm. (Which isn't harmful to your fish. If you have shrimp, they like to eat it.)

It could also be food that can to rest on your plant and then decomposed. Take the plants out and rinse them off in your sink.

The plants only went in yesterday, have only fed the fish once since. I will rinse them though. Its not very pretty to look at. I'm glad it isn't algae forming.
Thank you for the reply
