What is this algae growing on my plants and acrylic?

Oof, that's some impressive staghorn algae.
 
It gets to be like a tiny brillo pad. Easy algae to get rid. Cut the leaves off,and do a water change and substrate cleaning. Should work for months.

The problem is that the plants are sensitive. I It wouldn’t be the best to cut them. I read that seachem flourish would work though.
 
Nah,once those leaves look browned and are infested they are compromised..they will never look good again. Its best to trim the rotten part off if not the whole leaf.
 
I got that stuff when my tank temp.was.too high and I was not.paying attention....

But yea, you can trim the plants. They will be fine. Or figure out what will eat it and add some.new.fishies....
 
It looks like Siamese Algae Eaters will eat Staghorn algae. Also, they’re cute little fishies. :)
