What Is The Brown Stuff, And Is There A Fish That Will Clean It?

Hi all,

My tank keeps getting a Brown film on everything including the glass and the real plants, Is this due to overfeeding maybe or would it be due to my current issue with a slight nitrIte spike? Is there any fish/additive that can help clean this stuff?

sounds like diatoms, caused by traces of ammonia. try increasing the water flow to areas showing it, wipe it off where possible using a tissue. i get this sometimes in an established tank
otos will eat it but its best to cure the source rather than cover it up using fish
