Any fishing line is ok but if you really want an easy, reliable, safe product to attach moss, I would suggest cyanoacrylate. It's an aquarium safe adhesive that's really ideal for attaching mosses to wood, etc. The brand name I bought is called Coraffix and it's very inexpensive. All you do is dab some glue on the moss while it's out of the water, then put it in the water and press lightly onto the surface and voila, it's attached. This is safest for the fish because you don't have to worry about them trying to ingest string/fishing line or the small chance that they can get caught in it should it ever come loose.
