i bought a tank 2 weeks ago and need a first fish.
thinking of zebra danio are they any good

Is the tank cycled at all? stats? also what size is the tank?

If you only got the tank two weeks ago, it won't be ready for fish for a good while yet - unless you've used a lot of mature media in the filter.

Have you been cycling the tank? If you don't know what I mean, then you haven't. In order to cycle the tank, you need to add a source of ammonia (usually liquid ammonia from a bottle) and it can take anything from a month to two or even three months before the tank is ready for fish.
