Am i using the right stuff? will this help?

Now i have noticed that the "Multicure" stains the tank, so i should have removed substrate and decor before hand -.- aye aye lol
Please help guys, i have looked on google and other sites and i cant seem to get an accurate answer on what the disease is called...
I dont want them to die

Should i feed them while they are in quarantine?

is the mark only on the GT? or do other fish have it?
I cannot tell from the pictures is the eye cloudy at all?

If it is just the one GT it may just be an injury and will heal on its own.

Yes feed fish while they are in quarantine, best is having a bare bottomed tank wile quarantining fish so you can check faeces is normal.

They eyes airnt cloudy, The spot im talking about is that white round spot just left of the centre of his eye.
Its on both my green terrors, the horse face and the zebra ob.....

I edited the photo abit with a couple filters etc
It looks like something you could just peel off but i obviously dont want to try

I see now, the eye lens is peeling off. I have seen this before, but I have never had to treat it and I cannot remember off the top of my head how. Send Wilder a pm with a link to this thread, she might know straight away. I will have a look and see if I can find it for you as soon as I finish cleaning out my turtle tank (big job).

I have had a quick google and checked some old threads on here but I cannot find the specific one I was looking for. The only things I am coming up with is a water quality problem,
have you checked your stats?
has there been any aerosols sprayed etc?
Are any scales peeling off or going transparent?

I did find an article about worms/internal parasites causing a similar problem, but the eyes go cloudy.
Is the Zebra OB still clamping its fins? (the pics I have seen you post its clamping)
has it eaten?

My gut instinct is saying a parasite in the Zebra OB with a bacterial infection that has gone to the other fish, but I maybe wrong. :( sorry not much help.

Best thing to do is first test the water quality parameters. It will help rule out so much if we can determine water quality is or isn't an issue. There's clearly something going on and with it spreading to the other fish leads me to believe they are all stressed. Them all being stressed and susceptible to disease further leads to poor water quality which is why it spread to all of them. If we can correct the issues piece by piece and treat them for what's going on we have a good chance of saving your fish.

The 2 GT and the zebra ob I have only had for 3 days, they had it when I got them, but they were already in a black bucket when I picked them up so I couldn't see it until I got home, but my horse face has had it for about 3 weeks.
All my water parameters have been excellent except my ph kept dropping from its normal 7.2 to 6.0 but I have been doing regular tests and water changes to keep on top of it.

The zebra ob isn't clamping, that was just the first night I had him he sat in a corner and sulked. He swims around fine his fins look normal and all his colour is back. And he eats like a mammoth.
He is believe it or not the boss and protector of the tank, he tells the others to get away from him. But will tell off any fish that pics on another. It's quite cute lol

hmmm that just makes it more confusing. With the GT's and zebra being in a bucket I would have said scraping damage and it would heal on its own. However you say the jurupari was sick before adding the new fish??? Have you discovered why your ph keeps dropping? are you just doing water changes or gravel vaccing too, have you cleaned out the filter etc. It does sound more like a water problem.

Funny zebra, I had a blue acara once that every time I pointed the camera at her she would clamp her fins lol - no offence meant on your chappy :)

I had encountered this in one of my moly. Both her eyes are masked with this white cloudy stuff. I remember I read in the internet about the snail and parasites that can take over the eyes of a fish, at that time also I'm having too many round snails in my tank (I don't know what kind of snail they are but they look like a common snail to me) fortunately I never have to cure it, I just change 75% of the water with a tap water directly from the fousset (un-treated water) and her eyes gradually cleared up. But with that kind of fish you have I suggest you cure it with the right stuff. I just shared what I experienced with that similar problem of yours or it could be different from mine. Good luck treating your fish.

Hey guys, thanks for your inputs, i had a look this morning and the jurapari has cleared up and its nearly completely gone, plus the GTs and zebra and way better than last night, i have done water changes, i have put all fish into another tank and completely stirred up the sand to bring everything to the top then cleaned the sand and filters and it kept happpening, i cant narrow down the ph drops but the plus is everyone seems to be doing better.

oh and i have never had snails in with the jurapari :/

Thats good news its cleared up :)

Just straw clutching, but what sand do you have? I know its a pain job but it might be worth taking out the sand and see what happens with your ph just in case there is something affecting the pH in the sand (most likely not I did say straw clutching :) )
