When you say a shark, is it the same as the one in your pic??

yeh it is, and tonight for some reason the sharks going wild and just chasing everything round the tank!! i dont get it lol if its female its defo got PMS tonite

How big is your tank?

OK, Red Tailed Black Sharks are very territorial and are aggressive towards most fish, they aren't the best for a community aquarium. They can grow up to 12cm (5") so need at least a 45 gallon tank.

Do you know what make/model and volume??

Your tank does not sound big enough for a shark of any kind. I'd rehome the shark and add at least 2 more tiger barbs (they need a group of 6 or more) Not sure but your Angels might get too big as well? I think your Barbs and Angels could fight as well, bards are nippy and Angels can get aggressive.

As for additions, some SMALL algae eaters (otos) or Corys could be nice. Both need to be kept in groups.

BTW, I learned all this from people and articles here so read and learn!

i heard angel fishs can get agressive but theyve bin fine so far and ive had them a couple of months, the tiger barbs have kept to them selfs.
as for the shark i am going to rehome it.

Not all angelfish are aggressive, it depends on the fish's peresonality. I have a koi angel that wouldn't eat a fry.... well..... ok it wouldn't eat a neon :D

his rtbs is ok in his tank size just provide plenty caves and that for them and they will be ok i have kept them in community tanks for years and had no probs with them

cheers dane

Hi there you shouldn't keep angel's and barbs in the same tank ... the barbs will eventually tear the angels apart .... I know this because my first tropical fish were tiger barbs and green barbs and i learnt very quickly that barbs are very aggressive and you have to be very careful what you put in the tank with them (no thanks to the pet store who didn't tell me this) ..... Barbs also need to be kept in schools of a minimum of 6 this keeps them happy and curbs their agression small groups of Barbs will turn on each other and could end up killing each other.
