What Coming From Polys

i some polys and today noticed coming from the orange centre like a brown thin thing. can anyone tell me what this is doing

We will need some more info than that, and a pic if you could. What coral is the "long thin thing" coming from? What are your water stats? Does the coral stand next to anything (other corals)?
