I have a pea puffer in a 7-gallon with 8 shrimp and they all do fine. The shrimp have already had offspring and while I thought they may have been eaten by my pea puffer, nope...just saw the little cherry shrimp yesterday.

I believe I've heard possibly a small school of chili rasboras with a single pea puffer?

Before anyone recommends anything, it would help to know your water parameters. Especially the water hardness. If you don't know it, you can find it online. Either on your water company website or you can look it up by zip code.
